We know that the challenge to making a great pair of elbow guards is to build them in such a way that they are comfortable in dynamic movement. We used lightweight 4-way stretch Cordura fabric to create an elbow guard that fits well and allows for the rapid upper body movement required for shifting weight on descents and in turns. D3O viscoelastic material offers excellent protection with minimal weight while maintaining flexibility. We used lightweight 4-way stretch Cordura fabric to create a knee guard that fits well and doesn’t restrict the pedal stroke, and kept the back open to prevent material from bunching up behind the knee — a primary source of discomfort. The VPD 2.0 Knee protector is a multi-purpose knee protector combining freedom of movement with an exceptional level of impact absorbency. The protector is constructed from a reinforced stretch fabric and features an elastic strap to further secure the pads in place. The protective padding is perforated to improve ventilation and heat control.
