Comments:
I've been on this bike a week after several weeks of test rides to replace a stolen madone. The fit and the price came together for a deal I couldn't pass up and I've been very happy with the purchase. Raleigh bikes get better components the higher the numbers go, so the 1.0 has tiagra vs 105 or ultegra. I have no complaints about the shifting on tiagra even after having had ultegra on my old bike. The fit is fairly upright, making for a pretty relaxed position. But it's stiff enough that I feel like any work I put into getting moving goes directly to the pedals. I can cruise, but I get a decent pace pretty quickly too. So far I've left things pretty stock, except for the seatpost, pedals, and adding some fenders and lights for commuting. One drawback, the stock wheels are monster heavy. They're deeper rims than most stock bikes, good for aerodynamics but murder on your overall weight. All in all I'm thrilled with the bike. It performs on the road and I'm looking forward to taking it for some extended miles. Ride ride ride.
